The Master's Degree in Geological Sciences and Technologies does not have a limited number of places.

 

Adequate initial preparation is required: to verify that you meet the necessary requirements for enrollment, please consultthe regulations and, if necessary, contact the orientation representatives.

Admission to the Master's Degree in Geological Sciences and Technologies (LM-74) is open to those who hold a degree in Geological Sciences (class L-34) pursuant to Ministerial Decree 270/04, or a degree in Earth Sciences (class 16) pursuant to Ministerial Decree 509/99.

Admission to the Master's Degree in Geological Sciences and Technologies is also open to those who hold a degree from another class, a three-year university diploma, or another qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable by the Degree Council, meeting the following curricular requirements:

•- at least 9 credits in total in mathematics and computer science (SSD MAT/xx; INF/01);
•- at least 6 credits in physical sciences (SSD FIS/xx);
•- at least 6 credits in chemical disciplines (SSD CHIM/xx);
•- at least 48 credits in SSD GEO/xx
•- having completed at least 4 credits in field training.

The assessment of individual preparation is considered completed for all graduates in Geological Sciences (class L-34 ex-DM 270/04) from the University of Florence, who must nevertheless submit a request for evaluation following the procedure indicated on the dedicated page.

For other graduates who meet the above curricular requirements, the adequacy of preparation will be verified by the Degree Program Teaching Committee primarily on the basis of the curriculum presented.

If the curriculum is deemed satisfactory, the Teaching Committee will decide on admission to the Master's Degree Program and issue the required authorization.

Otherwise, the assessment of the student's preparation will be conducted through an interview (possibly also online), which may lead to the issuance of authorization for admission.

To obtain the nulla osta, which certifies possession of specific curricular requirements and adequate personal preparationand is a mandatory document for enrollment in the master's degree program, you must submit an application for evaluation to the School of Mathematical, Physical, and Natural Sciences, following the procedure indicated on the dedicated page.
